Light to Light Walk
A gentle path, a coastal wilderness - this journey will change you.
The 31km Light to Light Walking Track from Boyd’s Tower to Green Cape Lightstation passes through spectacular coastal scenery.
At one end the five story sandstone Boyd’s Tower overlooks Twofold Bay, at the other the beam of Green Cape Lightstation sweeps the ocean from the long arm of its peninsular. The path carries you along unique bushland, rugged coastline, isolated beaches and past vestiges of European efforts to take the land and harvest the wild seas.
Along the way you can camp at Saltwater Creek and Bitangabee Bay, finishing with a stay at the Green Cape Lightstation and the creature comforts on offer there. Whales and shearwaters come in close here during their annual migration in spring and Green Cape is one of the best vantage points to see them.
The entire walk is 31 kilometres (one way) and takes three or four days.
Alternatively you can choose sections from numerous points along the way. A national park-use fee applies.
Access to both points are via Edrom Road, 18 kilometres south of Eden on the Princes Highway.
