Like a local
Explore, taste and immerse yourself in the Sapphire Coast through the eyes of a local.
Some of our most mouthwatering food, scenic and secret hideaways and adventures are best discovered with the help of a local. Here are some of our local’s favourite days so take some tips or just do it all…

Art, Beaches And Blue Eye Romesco
When she’s not being the creative mastermind behind Narek Galleries, Karen O’Clery likes to keep life simple. A picnic, a wander through local galleries, a love of home grown food and an appreciating eye for beauty. Her perfect day will take you from Tathra to Bermagui.

Play, Rest, Feast On Merimbula Lake
Lake side living is paramount to Merimbula locals like Michael Dixon of Seashells Merimbula, who works out, plays and dines with his family in all the best places. Join him as he takes a run, shares a table with friends, adventures with his children while his wife relaxes on the beach, and watches the sun go down with a feed of fresh fish and chips. Paddle, Dive And Dine On Twofold Bay
Our local waterways and beaches are Jenny Robb’s home away from home. A passionate advocator for our temperate marine environment, she lives on the beautiful Towamba River at Kiah, near Eden.

Driving Mr Taylor
A third generation dairy farmer, the rolling green vales and the farmers that tend the gentle cows there are close to Bill’s heart. The Jellat resident never tires of the winding country roads that traverse them, and doesn’t mind dropping a line here and there to see what fish are on the bite.

Kombi Escapades from an Avid Camper
Jack of all trades Harry Menrath loves to hook the tinny onto one of his Kombis and head off for the day, or preferably for a week or two. His favourite campsites are always by the water and include estuaries at Kalaru/Tathra, south in Ben Boyd National Park and just over the border to Croajingolong National Park and Wallagarah River.
