EDEN TOURISM INC.

The Eden Visitor Information Centre (EVIC) and Cruise Eden are operated by Eden Tourism Inc, an independent incorporated non-profit association that is governed by a constitution and operates in accordance with the Association Incorporations Act 2009. It is responsible for the provision of visitor information services and tourism marketing for the town of Eden and surrounds. 

Eden, located on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, is a picturesque coastal town renowned for its rich maritime history, stunning natural landscapes, and abundant wildlife. Situated approximately halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, Eden offers a tranquil retreat with a variety of attractions and activities for visitors. Combined with Eden rapidly emerging as a prominent cruise destination to its current status as one of the busiest cruise ports in regional Australia.

Previously Eden’s Visitor Information Centre was owned and operated by Bega Valley Shire Council until 2006 when the council made the decision to exit tourism operations. Following this the Eden Chamber of Commerce operated the Visitor Information Centre until 2015 when it was divested to a new completely separate entity “Eden Tourism Incorporated”. 

Eden Tourism Inc receives some financial support from Bega Valley Shire Council and the Port Authority of NSW, however predominantly the centre is  financially supported by a strong  membership base of local businesses as well as the various revenue streams that management has worked hard to put in place including strong retail / souvenir sales, sub-lease arrangements, event space hire, commission on tour bookings, and tour guide services for visiting bus groups.

Eden Tourism Board

 The Board of Eden Tourism Inc. is made up of a small group of dedicated volunteers who take on the responsibility of providing strategic level oversight for the organisation through executive or committee roles. We are always on the lookout for new people who are keen to join the board.
