Visit the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre. Open Monday to Saturday 9:30am-3:30pm with permanent displays and summer activities for the family.
Visit the Eden Killer Whale Museum. Showcases Eden’s fascinating whaling history. Come meet Eden’s most famous Killer Whale, Old Tom. Open daily.
Take the Killer Whale Trail. Pack a picnic and swim suit for a great day out! This self guided tour takes you to Davidson Whaling Station, the Seahorse Inn and Ben Boyd’s Tower.Cruise on Cat Balou. Take a 1.5 hour Bay Cruise or a 3 hour Wilderness Tour. Dolphins and seals often seen. An excellent talk is given on the history of the bay.
Take a Freedom Fishing Charter Trip. Accommodating individuals or groups Freedom Charters will help you catch a fish to tell tales about.
Drop a Line. Eden offers outstanding opportunities for all types of fishing including game, reef, beach, estuary and rock fishing. A free triple lane boat ramp is located at Quarantine Bay.
Play an End of Bowls or a Round of Golf. The Eden Gardens Country Club has great facilities complete with a licensed club house, a relaxing beer garden and a professional golf school. The club also has pokie machines and weekly raffles.
Go Kayaking. Kiah Wilderness Tours offers guided tours on the stunning Kiah River.
Have an underwater ocean adventure. Australia’s Coastal Wilderness Adventures offers prawning, snorkelling and seafood adventures. Explore our diverse underwater world.
Learn about and sample Australia’s best oysters. Take an Oyster Tour on beautiful Broadwater Lake with Captain Sponges Magical Oyster Tours.
Taste the flavours of Eden. Mussels, prawns, oysters, fish, calamari and some of the freshest fish is available at our many restaurants and wholesale at Hooked on Seafood.
Take the Heritage Trail. There are many built and natural heritage sites in the area. Drive or walk and explore the 37 sites of interest listed in the guide available from the visitor centre.Explore Ben Boyd National Park. Take part in the Summer Discovery Program or explore the park on your own. Discover beautiful beaches, memorable bushwalks, wildlife and significant historical sites.
Explore Snug Cove and the Commercial Wharf. See working fishing boats, drop a line, enjoy a coffee or the freshest fish on the coast at a wharf side restaurant.
Live Music. Our clubs and the pub host bands over the summer. SPROUT Cafe features musicians most Sundays. Nethercote Hall hosts shows many weekends in January.
Take a Walk. There are multiple walks in and around Eden, whether you seek a casual stroll along the boardwalk or something more ambitious like the 31km Light to Light walk.
Hit the Beach. With over a dozen beaches in the bay alone there is a beach for everyone in Eden whether your interest is surfing, relaxing, fishing or exploring.
Visit a Local Market. December 19th and January 16th at the Uniting Church Hall. January 23rd in Nethercote.
Visit Art on Imlay. Art on Imlay in the main street features local Aboriginal art, wood works, paintings, Jewellery, sculptures and much more all made in Eden.
Visit our many memorial sites. In Eden we have a War Memorial, Seaman’s Memorial and the National Timber Workers Memorial.
Explore Rotary Park and walk and the Eden Lookout. A popular picnic spot offering great views, a lovely walk and access to Eden Marine Rescue.
Visit the Eden Pool Our Olympic sized pool is open daily.
